Some Fall Fun

Today was a beautiful day. The weather was perfect. So we decided to take the girls to the Fall Festival @ the church. They had a cake walk, arts and crafts, games, karaoke and much more. We all had a really good time. I love this time of year.

Mara (in the shirt she didn't want to wear, but wore it for me anyway) isn't she pretty?

Cayman still loves Halloween...she was so excited.

Sweet sisters!

They got their faces painted.

Then we picked out pumpkins to take home.

...then we had to stop and buy bath and body works new lotion on the way home...lol

Rodeo Grand Entry

Last night Cayman rode in the Pasadena Rodeo Grand Entry. She has been sick with the flu and has a TERRIBLE cough...but she begged to go. So since she may never have this opportunity again I decided to medicate her and let her go...lol. We had a great night. Cayman had a blast riding in the truck through the arena with all the big Rodeo Queens, Mara got to do some jewelery shopping lol and all three of us girls got to meet Roger Creager (thanks Papa Jay). Mara didn't know who he was, but when I said he's a famous singer she got excited. Before we know it she'll be singing his songs and telling all her friends how she meet him. My camera doesn't take good pictures in the dark, but here are a few. Copy and Paste the links to see our pictures with Roger Creager.

Cayman with Ms D'Juana the pageant director. She has directed every pageant Mara and Cayman have been in and has taught us everything we know and love about pageants. She was once Miss Teen USA. Awesome Lady.

Young Miss American Rodeo

Here we go again. Cayman is really loving being in the spotlight. She was invited to attend the Miss American Rodeo Pageant. We debated doing it since we just did the Pasadena Rodeo Pageant last month, but with no sports going on right now and since we already had a cute western outfit to wear, we decided to do it just for fun...and fun it was. She won! Cayman was crowned Young Miss American Rodeo. We are so proud of her. She loves it and it shows when she's up on the stage. She also won best model and best personality. She will be riding in the grand entry at the Pasadena Rodeo Monday night. So if you're out there that night, be sure to listen for her name and look for her in the arena. Good Job Cayman.

One happy little girl.

Race for the Cure

Last September Marcela, a co-worker of mine was diagnosed with breast cancer. Through the last year we watched her day after day battle her cancer without missing a single day of work. Her cancer is now gone and she is doing awesome. So in honor of her journey with cancer and because we love her so much, I decided to form a team at work to join the Race for the Cure.

Here's Mara and I up bright and early ready to begin. Notice we are almost the same height now....when did that happen?

Mikael and I. My BFF since age 13.

Football

Don't you just love football season? The cooler weather, the stadium lights, the sound of the band and crowd cheering. Last weekend was Deer Park's Homecoming. Mara and her friend Whitney went together. This was Mara very first High School football game. I painted their faces and Jason and I drove them to the stadium. Awww...the memories. I got a burst of excitement just pulling up to the stadium. Jason and I sat in the car and watched Mara and Whitney walk through the gate. It almost made me cry...lol. It's was the start of great, fun, exciting memories she will make. It was also her first time to see the Deer Escorts perform. Hopefully in a few short years, she'll be out on that field as part of the drill team. Woo Hoo...GO BIG DEER!
