My thoughts tonight while I can't sleep...
Can I have a magic wand and freeze time? This evening while all 3 of us girls were crowded around the sink brushing our teeth I thought...one day this will all end. One day they will be brushing their teeth in their own home not needing mommy anymore. Time is going by too fast. They're both half grown already. The days of fluffy dresses and bows are over. What's next? I feel the better parent you are, the better people your children will be. So I can only hope through all my bad decisions and struggles I continue to have, I give my children a childhood to cherish. I love my children, they truly are my best friends. I pray they see how great they are when they are faced with the world. Sometimes when days are too long and I feel too tired to listen to one of their long stories...I remember I am blessed and thank God they have me to talk to.

Our Rainy Weekend
I hope everyone had a good weekend. Despite the rain, we had a great relaxing weekend. Lots of lounging and movie watching.
Friday night Jason and my dinner plans had to be cancelled due to the horrible weather. However we did order in and had a nice dinner at home with the family. So....my big surprise from Jason was my new wedding band. Jason and I have been married so long that back when we got married, "GOLD" was cool. So my original wedding set was gold. Last year we got my new "White Gold" antique style engagement ring...that I absolutely love and now Jason bought me the anniversary wedding band to complete the set. It is so pretty. I have it turned in for sizing, but as soon as it fits. I will post a picture of the set. Isn't he sweet. I'm not really sure why he gave it to me this weekend. Our 10 yr wedding anniversary is next month...that would have been a perfect gift. However, being a man...nothing they do really makes much sense. He's now in charge of planning our Anniversary celebration. He said he wanted to do it, so I can't wait to see what he plans...I'll be sure to let you know.

A rare moment in time....
I have to share this with someone...or everyone I suppose. Mikael is out of the office today and I'm sitting here alone in my office thinking today is the day I could possibly die of boredom. I have work to do, but just can't bring myself to do anymore today...lol!
Then I received a phone call from Jason. First let me tell you he's such a lovely Jason today, you know the one who loves everyone and will give you the shirt off his back Jason...the same Jason I married almost 10 years ago. Anyway, he called and with the sweetest voice he said, "I bought you something today"...I replied, "huh"? He then said, "it's a surprise, and you're going to love it". What on earth happened to Jason I began to wonder?
So I sit here in my office, alone, going stir crazy wondering what it is that he bought me. I've called Mara a few times and she won't tell me a thing...all she will say is it's really pretty.
He also said he was taking me to dinner tonight. So as I sit here I wonder does he think our Anniversary is April 21st instead of May 21st??? hummm...anyway, stay tuned and I'll let you know what happens....

Easter 2009
This year we went to visit the grandparents for Easter.
Here's our really fast trip to Kingsland.....
The girls waiting for the boiled eggs to cool off.

Mara dying eggs

The Easter bunny came. Notice just like for Valentines day...Mara has a green themed bucket and Cayman has pink. It's the way it has always been and the way it always will be. That's their favorite colors. Makes it easy for me.

After Mimi added to the table.

Goofy girls pretending to lick their HUGE lollipops.
